Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Rupert Lowe officially assumes office as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at any point prior to January 1, 2031 (00:00 UTC). Otherwise, this market resolves to NO.

Official appointment to the office of Prime Minister is determined by appointment by the British monarch and confirmation via official UK Parliament or government channels (e.g., GOV.UK or UK Parliament).

Background

Rupert Lowe is the Member of Parliament for Great Yarmouth, elected in July 2024. Originally elected under the Reform UK banner, Lowe left the party following leadership disputes and founded the Restore Britain party. He previously served as a Member of the European Parliament for the West Midlands (2019–2020) and as Chairman of Southampton Football Club.
