Resolution Criteria
This market resolves YES if either the sitting US President or UK Prime Minister makes an official public statement confirming the existence of Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) at human-level intelligence or greater before end December 31, 2026. The statement must be made in an official capacity (e.g., press conference, official address, formal government announcement, or official written statement). Confirmation must explicitly acknowledge the existence of NHI, not merely discuss investigations, reports, or the possibility of NHI. The market resolves NO if no such confirmation occurs by the deadline.
Background
The disclosure movement argues that governments have secret information regarding UFOs and so-called "non-human intelligence". Congressional interest in the topic has grown in recent years, with bipartisan senators proposing a comprehensive plan to accelerate the disclosure of all U.S. government records associated with reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and potential lifeforms that demonstrate "non-human intelligence". However, in March 2024, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office released a report which affirmed the absence of UFO information available to disclose, and the government has repeatedly denied any evidence of alien life, alien technology or contact with aliens.
Considerations
The term "Non-Human Intelligence" in government and congressional contexts typically refers to potential extraterrestrial or interdimensional entities, distinct from artificial intelligence. Definitions vary among officials, with some taking a scientific approach focused on intellectual thought processes, while others question whether non-human intelligence necessarily implies biological life. Official confirmation would represent a significant departure from decades of government denial and would likely require extraordinary evidence to overcome institutional resistance to such disclosure.
