The New York Times released a cool new game called Connections, which was allegedly made by the NYT games team. However, viewers of the intellectual British game show Only Connect will recognize it as basically a ripoff of the Only Connect wall - the third round of the game show.
To count for this market, a spokesperson of the NYT merely has to admit that the games are similar. It can be on any platform. They admitted that one of their other games was similar to Countdown, a different British game show, but haven't done so for this one.
Victoria Coren Mitchell, the host of Only Connect, also wrote this Telegraph article about the situation. I only read the first paragraph because it's paywalled, but it probably explains more context.
And here's a YouTube link to a walls-only Only Connect special.
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.
