Currently, it's possible to edit the description of a market with no record of what it used to be. This is usually fine, but has led to controversies: for example, in the embedded market, some people have said that the description was edited to change the policy on shootouts, while the market creator denies this. Right now, we can't confirm whether the description was edited.
To count for this market, edit histories must be viewable in some form for new markets (not necessarily old ones), such that we can confirm whether a market creator pulled a switcheroo. If market descriptions become uneditable, that would count for this market, because the "edit history", being nothing, is visible.
General policy for my markets: In the rare event of a conflict between my resolution criteria and the agreed-upon common-sense spirit of the market, I may resolve it according to the market's spirit or N/A, probably after discussion.

@DesTiny The fact that you’re advocating for this feature does actually make me believe you more - if the policy on shootouts was different on your other markets, maybe there was a Mandela effect kinda thing.
@Conflux They might not actually have the edit data for older markets though, which was a reason I excluded them from counting for this market.
@Conflux yeah I think the fact that all the other markets were different and I decided to change it for just that one, admittedly made it look like I edited it
