Background
LeBron James has been remarkably consistent throughout his career, having never scored fewer than 10 points in a regular season game since January 5, 2007 - a streak of over 1,200 games. Bronny James, currently in his rookie season with the Lakers, has scored a career-high of 2 points in a single NBA game (against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 30, 2024). LeBron has shown no indication of imminent retirement plans.
Resolution Criteria
The market will resolve based on which of these events occurs first chronologically:
LeBron scores fewer than 10 points in a regular season NBA game (garbage time and partial games due to injury count)
LeBron retires
Bronny scores 10 or more points in a regular season NBA game (playoff games do not count)
If multiple events occur on the same day, the market will resolve based on the earliest timestamp. If the exact timestamps cannot be determined, the market will resolve N/A.
Considerations
LeBron's scoring streak of 10+ points is the longest in NBA history
Bronny is currently receiving limited playing time, which may affect his scoring opportunities
Based on public statements, LeBron is likely intends to retire in 2026 or 2027 (it's possible he may want to continue if he's still playing at a high level and wants to play with his second son, Bryce).
LeBron clearly cares a lot about his double digit point streak but it's possible it ends before he retires due to injury or decline in skill or if he plays minimal minutes.
Bronny James hasn't scored much in the NBA (4 points in 12 games) but has multiple 30 pt performances in the G-League.
