Resolves to the amount of hostages that are known to be outside of Gaza by December, not including any freed before November 18th. They must be alive.
Note: The number of hostages is inclusive.
81 hostages have been returned
@CelebratedWhale Are you sure? I was tracking, and it seems like by day, the cumulative total was: 24, 42, 58, 75, 87. Maybe even 88 because I think the Russian-Israeli guy was released separately.
@Shump My day by day is 24, 41, 58, 69, 81.
Our biggest discrepancy is November 27th, where I have 11 released. Pretty sure my numbers are accurate but if you've double checked let's exchange sources to be sure
@CelebratedWhale Different media sources seem to be reporting different amounts. New York Times reported 81, but Haaretz reports 88. I think the discrepancy is from the 6 Thais who were released yesterday as well as the Russian-Israeli. Yesterday total should be 18. Haaretz has a list with all the actual names so I'm inclined to trust them more. https://www.haaretz.co.il/news/2023-11-23/ty-article-magazine/0000018b-4196-d242-abef-53b654760000?utm_source=App_Share&utm_medium=Android_Native&utm_campaign=Share
@Shump I believe that 88 is including those freed before November 18th. If that's 7 then the numbers add up to 81
@CelebratedWhale I took a deeper look at the Haaretz tracker and you are right. It seems that it was announced yesterday that those 6 Thais would be released, but then it didn't happen. I imagine we might see the remaining 4 released soon.
@CelebratedWhale I apologize, current reports are 24 hostages. 13 Israeli, 10 Thai, and 1 Filipino. Reports are continuing to be updated as more information becomes available
