As best I can tell, this did occur at Chkalovsky Air Base, which is 19.265 miles from Moscow per Wikipedia.
TheDrive seems to have the most detailed reporting on it; they say "One of Russia’s most important airbases, Chkalovsky, located less than 20 miles from Moscow, is claimed to have been struck by saboteurs. According to the Ukrainian military intelligence service, two fixed-wing aircraft and a helicopter were “blown up” by explosive charges placed on them, during an operation carried out on September 18.
...
At this stage, there’s no independent verification of the GRU’s claims, although Russia, at least, has confirmed that some kind of sabotage operation did take place.".
ISW says the MOD has not confirmed it. I am not taking that as much evidence though, because of course the Russian MOD would not want to confirm a major airbase/military facility, less than 20 miles from Moscow, let saboteurs blow 3 airplanes.
This video does some pretty good analysis of satellite imagery available, where the three airplanes Ukraine claims were badly damaged/destroyed and are no longer visible (including an aircraft manufactured in Ukraine (e.g. without spare parts) that has been grounded/inoperable since 2018.)
