Turtles buried in the ground for hibernation being dug up in the spring

@3721126 I understand that turtle farming exist. But I don’t quite see why turtles would be packed and buried like that. Do you have other pictures of turtle farming that looks like this?

@AmmonLam Well, because it's just easier to bury them all in one place so you don't have dig up turtles scattered all over a field?

And they bury them for hibernation/ brumation so that they are in a controlled environment, protected from the frost and predators.
