@Alana I ask because I just graduated with a BS in Mathematics and have no money, but I don't know if that's appropriate for what you're looking for
I mean, I can list subjects (linear algebra, category theory, set theory, complexity stuff, topology, …), but I’m really aiming for general mathematical maturity.
Something like “problem solving skills” or “ability to quickly grok math papers/go through textbooks”
I’m still unsure what’s the best way to accomplish this. I’m interested in trying a few things:
Conventional textbook slogging like I’m doing now
Conventional “doing problems/exercises together”
Slightly less conventional: grill me for a few hours until I fully grok a conceptual space
Slightly less conventional: teach me ways to play with math that helps me learn faster (eg I benefited a lot from a friend showing me how he approached problems by throwing them at Desmos)
