There are currently 6 options being considered: 3 that involve tunneling a subway from UCLA to the San Fernando Valley, and 2 that involve a mostly above-ground monorail along the 405. There were originally 6 options, but "Alternative 2" has already been eliminated.
Under CEQA, LA Metro also has to study a no-build options, which would mean the project doesn't go ahead.
