Every year, Freedom House scores every country in the world on the political rights and civil liberties their residents have on a scale out of 100. Gabon got a score of 20 in 2023, 21 in 2022, 22 in 2021, 22 in 2020, 23 in 2019, 23 in 2018, and 32 in 2017. Recently, a coup occured, overthrowing the family that had ruled Gabon since 1967.

This question will resolve to the score that Freedom House assigns Gabon in 2028. If the score is no longer out of 100, it will be appropriately scaled. If Freedom House ceases to exist or does not assign a score to Gabon in 2024, this question will resolve NA. If Gabon is fully annexed by another country, this will resolve to the score given to the annexing country, and if Gabon splits into multiple countries, this will resolve to the population-weighted average of their scores.
