I've been single a long time and I'd like not to be. I'm renewing my commitment to looking for the person I'd like to be with, even though dating apps are off-putting and I don't live in a very socially open city. I'm nothing if not driven by personal markets so I suspect creating some public personal goals will keep me motivated.

I'll define a committed relationship as:

• both of us agreeing that we're in a relationship (not just dating or seeing each other etc) and we're exclusive

• we remain in that arrangement at least a month (I don't want this market to last forever but I'd like to resolve to something more than just a chat and intention)

ask questions if you have them. I suppose I'll primarily use dating apps, although I'm trying to move in new social circles so there's a chance of meeting someone my preferred, organic way.
