Who will be elected vice-president in the 2024 US Presidential Election?

Resolves to the person who wins the majority of votes for US Vice President in the Electoral College, or is selected following the contingency procedure in the Twelfth Amendment. May resolve early if both the Associated Press projects a winner and the losing major party candidate concedes. The creator on this market has not responded to questions and has not been active for some time.

I am reopening this market so participants do not have their mana tied up indefinitely. I have placed a new closing date of 31 December 2024.

Some things to note for anyone who is brave enough to participate in this market:

• This market is tagged 2024 US Presidential Election, which has not happened yet and will not happen for around 1 year.

• It accidentally closed at the 2023 US Election date in November, for whatever reason.

• This market asks if he will "be the Vice President in 2024". It does not say VP-elect or anything like that.

Once again, trade at your own risk.

I cannot change the criteria or clarify anything beyond what the creator originally wrote, I am simply opening this market because it says in 2024, and in general, we don't want your mana to be tied up for over 1 year with no way to sell or trade.

@Eliza If someone has questions about what I personally would do if I were to resolve this question next year, and you want to have something on the record to establish a precedent in case the creator never comes back, you should ask some questions here. I think I could give a fair answer.

@sakethkesiraju Glad you returned. Can you please clarify in the title and description exactly what you are asking? We noticed the original date was set to close Yesterday and that is not quite what people were expecting. Thank you!

@sakethkesiraju To be absolutely clear. If Vivek is elected VP in 2024, he would not take office until January 2025. Therefore, according to the title as written literally, it would resolve NO. Is that what you are saying?

@jack The title is the title! I am just hoping the creator will clarify that exact thing in the description to make sure all participants know what they are betting on. Several people in the comments have had the same question.

Can you clarify if this is supposed to be only if he's the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, or if he is part of a winning Republican ticket in the 2024 general election?

@KevinBurke the title seems pretty clear to me. Vice president, not vice presidential candidate.

@KevinBurke although, point taken. if that is the case the title might be edited to "be elected the vice president" because he would not become the vice president until january 2025

@DylanSlagh Yeah i mean read literally there is virtually zero chance of him being the vice president in 2024.
