This market resolves Yes if OpenAI publicly launches and makes accessible to the general public a new frontier model, including via open beta or an open waitlist. Closed or private access does not qualify. The release must be explicitly announced by OpenAI as publicly accessible.
A frontier model is a newly released, next-generation, general-purpose flagship model that OpenAI identifies as among its most capable. Successors to current frontier models (e.g., GPT-5.2 after GPT-5.1) qualify. Task-specific, optimized, or cost-reduced variants (e.g., GPT-5.1-codex, GPT-5 mini) do not qualify.
Frontier models outside the GPT series, such as new o-series models (e.g., o1, o3), do count if they meet the above definition.
The primary resolution source is official OpenAI announcements, supplemented by consensus reporting from reputable outlets.
