I am a Polish student, doing Masters degree in computer science at the University of Gdańsk. I have been looking for my first job in tech since 2022, with breaks in between. I am into Computer Science since I was 10, now I am 25 yo. I am not really sure how much my inability to find entry level job is due to me, and how much is due to the market, but I feel like it is both. I have got multiple online interviews, and one on-site. I am mostly into scripting languages (Python, Typescript), and front-end, but I feel like I could learn and do anything that is Computer Science related. I am diagnosed with ADHD and high functioning autism / Aspergers. Feel free to manipulate the market by giving me career advise ;)
Resolution criteria
Resolves to the calendar date (Europe/Warsaw local time) on which I accept in writing a paid offer for a technical role, or the date I begin paid work under such an offer/contract—whichever happens first. “Accept in writing” = I send a written acceptance (email or e‑signature) of a documented offer/contract.
Qualifying roles: software engineering (frontend/backend/full‑stack), data (analytics/engineering/science/ML), QA/Test, DevOps/SRE, security, or similar hands‑on technical roles. Remote or on‑site; Poland or abroad.
Must be paid and at least one of: (a) employment contract, (b) paid internship or part‑time/contract of expected duration ≥3 months and average ≥20 hours/week. Excludes unpaid roles, purely non‑technical roles (e.g., sales/CS), self‑employment without an external client, or gigs <40 total paid hours.
Evidence to be posted in a market comment: one or more of (redactions allowed) (i) signed offer/contract showing role, company, and acceptance date; (ii) HR/email thread showing the written offer and my acceptance; (iii) public LinkedIn “Started new position” update linking to the employer; (iv) employer announcement listing me. If multiple qualifying offers occur, the earliest acceptance date is used. If an accepted offer is later rescinded, the market still resolves to the acceptance date.
Public verifiability preferred via LinkedIn profile/update or employer site. Examples: https://www.linkedin.com/
Background
I’m a Polish master’s student in CS at the University of Gdańsk, mainly using Python/TypeScript and leaning frontend.
Poland’s IT job market rebounded in 1H 2025 (offers up ~68–70% YoY on justjoin.it), but junior roles remain scarce—about 5.9% of listings—so competition for entry‑level roles is still intense. (polandinsight.com, biznes.pap.pl, crn.pl, brandsit.pl)
Frontend has been particularly crowded; in 2024 NFJ reported a 20% YoY decline in frontend ads and high applicants per listing, while demand grew faster in data, security, and AI‑related categories. (nofluffjobs.com)
Considerations
Counting paid internships and substantial part‑time/B2B contracts (per criteria) increases the number of qualifying pathways to resolution.
Targeting data/AI, security, DevOps, or backend may have better odds than pure frontend in the current Polish market. (polandinsight.com, nofluffjobs.com)
Hybrid and remote roles are both common; being open to either (including EU‑remote) can materially accelerate resolution. (brandsit.pl)
