This market resolves to "Yes" if the Canadian government officially calls a federal election by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on the last day of October.
A "Yes" resolution will be determined if the Governor General, on the advice of the Prime Minister, dissolves Parliament and sets a date for a federal election.
Any announcements, speculation, or informal discussions regarding an election will not qualify unless the formal process to dissolve Parliament is initiated. If no such announcement occurs by the deadline, the market will resolve to "No".
For transparency, I will not be betting on this market.
