This market is about whether SCOTUS makes a major ruling that rent control, rent stabilization, eviction limits tied to rent regulation, or similar tenant-price protections are unconstitutional under the Takings Clause or an equivalent property-rights theory.
Resolves YES if, before the end of Donald Trump's term, the US Supreme Court issues a merits decision holding that a rent-control or rent-stabilization regime is facially unconstitutional, unconstitutional as applied to a broad class of landlords, or otherwise invalid because it effects a taking or violates an analogous constitutional property-rights doctrine.
Resolves NO if no such Supreme Court merits decision is issued by that date.
