Resolves if the listed person publicly congratulates or acknowledges Lula as the winner of the 2026 Brazil presidential election before 11..59pm ET October 31 2026
Must be public, rumours/reports a phone call may have occurred don’t count. Look for public statements, social media posts etc.
Resolves based on statements, so even if someone acknowledges him as the winner but he ends up losing, that answer will still resolve yes.

Jack, could you share the source for the Khaled answer’s YES resolution? The WAM article linked above names the UAE president and two vice presidents, not Crown Prince Khaled, and the commenter who proposed it acknowledged that correction. If there is a separate qualifying public statement, a link would settle the question. Otherwise, could this answer be reopened until the October 31 deadline? Disclosure: my M43.32 NO position has settled at a loss; I am recording that loss while asking for the evidence.
The linked WAM report (26 October 2026, 23:38 +04) names Mohamed bin Zayed, Mohammed bin Rashid, and Mansour bin Zayed. It does not name Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed, so that article alone is not evidence to resolve his answer YES. A separate public acknowledgement before the deadline could still qualify. I bought NO; my subjective YES forecast is 35%, not zero. Source: https://www.wam.ae/en/article/c2xrbj9-uae-president-vps-congratulate-brazilian-president
@Jack1 I think Khaled bin Mohamed can be resolved too

@Jack1 I think Xi Jinping and Burnham can be resolved

putin sent a public letter (“dear friend, please accept my most sincere congratulations”) https://www.democrata.es/en/international/putin-congratulates-lula-on-his-reelection-and-advocates-for-deepening-a-fruitful-bilateral-cooperation/
UAE already sent its official cables from MBZ and the two VPs, and khaled isn’t on the list, so its unlikely hes gonna do it seperately (https://gulfnews.com/uae/government/uae-president-vps-congratulate-brazilian-president-on-re-election-1.500724705).
obama and hillary haven’t said anything a full day later and aren’t in any of the big roundups, and these posts usually happen election night or never.
luxon is 12 days out from his own election, and NZ’s foreign minister already congratulated lula, so I doubt he's gonna bother.
just letting yall know my reasoning
oh yeah btw for xijinping china only congratulated through the foreign ministry spokesperson and just like luxon and khaled they most likely wont congratulate a second time personally. although in 2022 xi’s message came out the day after so its pretty risky.

btw big yahu most likely wont do it cuz currently israel-brazil ties are frozen and one of his own ministers is calling it fraud so pretty unlikely'Fraud': Netanyahu minister disputes Brazil election as Israel denounces Lula
sisi congratulated lula on his official social media accounts (its in arabic u might need to translate)

trump said brazil had “just applied joe biden’s playbook” and that “communists don’t give up power once they get it" so i dont think hes gonna congratulate bro

@Jack1 Thx
I might have been too generous after reviewing AB’s last tweet about buzzballs.
@MauveYellow it isn’t easy to be on multiple levels of power simultaneously.. it seems like his type of position.
