In the latest Dwarkesh podcast, Elon Musk predicted that
... five years from now, I think probably AI in space will be launching every year the sum total of all AI on Earth. Meaning, five years from now, my prediction is we will launch and be operating every year more AI in space than the cumulative total on Earth.
If there is more AI launched in the calendar year 2032 than existed on earth at the end of calendar year 2031, this market resolves YES. Otherwise, this market resolves NO.
Only AI compute launched in the year 2032 counts. Any compute already in space before the start of 2032 is irrelevant.
Note that 2032 is a bit more than 5 years from now -- I want to give Elon a fair shot.
Unclear what sources will be available for resolution -- we'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it. I promise to do my best to resolve fairly.
