I love Vim. So snappy and fast and does exactly what you want it to do. Any time I have to use some other editor, it just feels so slow, unwieldy and inelegant.

It is the best text editor by far. It is arguable whether it is the best IDE (it probably is).

@Feanor In general, but being good for programming is certainly a big part of what make a good text editor (imo).

@dionisos Imagine writing a book in vscode or vim, or a program in notepad or google docs

@Ibozz91 Writing code in google docs would be horrible, but I think writing a book in vim is ok.
