I want to kickstart my chess training for the year by solving puzzles from my (physical) copy of Manual of Chess Combinations Vol 2. It's the core part of my long term chess training but also immediately necessary to shake off rust for my first tournament of the year in 3 weeks.
The reason this is interesting at all is I have not followed through on any previous training plans and the most puzzles i have solved in a year is like 50. I want to summon the power of mana for some motivation.
Resolves to the number of puzzles I will have solved in 3 weeks. I plan to dedicate 45 mins - 1 hr daily without fail, which should be good for 3-5 puzzles solved (not sure though). A puzzle will be considered solved if I make a focused, written attempt and write my solution in my notebook so I can't just eyeball it and move on.
I will start the book from scratch and have solved the first 50 puzzles so I might breeze through them faster. I will post a spreadsheet tracking my progress starting tomorrow. Not sure how to bet but I might bet the most aggressive option for some extra motivation
