The white house has repeatedly infringed on Nintendo's IP, e.g. The White House (@WhiteHouse) on X

Resolves YES if, before close, credible reporting or public records show Nintendo (or its subsidiaries or lawyers acting for it) has taken any of the following against the US federal government, the White House, or any federal agency or official acting in an official capacity:

  • Filing a lawsuit or claim, e.g. a copyright claim in the US Court of Federal Claims (the venue for copyright infringement by the federal government under 28 U.S.C. § 1498(b)), or any other court filing.

  • Sending a cease-and-desist letter or formal legal demand.

  • Filing a DMCA takedown notice or platform copyright report targeting government-posted content, e.g. the White House's X post.

Public statements, PR responses, or "declining to comment" don't count. Actions against private parties (e.g. a campaign, a PAC, or an individual reposting the image) don't count. If an action is reported but its existence is unclear or disputed, I'll resolve based on my best judgment of the evidence.
