What source do you plan to use? Chinese grosses can be tricky to tally

@asmith Just flagging that now because IIRC, boxofficemojo often doesn't fully list the gross for chinese films. e.g. wikipedia last year https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_in_film lists 2 chinese films in the global top 10. boxofficemojo doesn't record meaningful gross for either, they're basically just blank https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/world/2023/. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/title/tt21148018/?ref_=bo_se_r_1

there can be pretty wide disparities between the global gross of a film depending on the source used (it's not like domestic, where the differences are minor). that's extra true for china. so i'd recommend pre-committing to one source in advance (but of course you can do what you'd like, it's your market)
