inspired from a discord conversation where i said: "Manachan can become the official market maker. You pay manachan a bounty of 10-50 mana to get manachan to make an anonymous market on your behalf."

Copying my proposal in discord: I am in favor of having a community-led resolution mechanism, where trustworthy users collectively resolve questions.
90% of the time, the resolution is quite clear and there's no need for a big complicated system. So a single eligible resolver just proposes a resolution. In the small fraction of the time it's unclear, then you start up a consensus mechanism where the eligible resolvers discuss the question and vote on a resolution. You can start this process either if a eligible resolver thinks it's unclear and requests it, or if someone submits a proposed resolution and someone else disagrees.
That's the basic idea, of course there are a lot of details with a range of possibilities. Note that this can be just one option for resolution, there can still be questions that are resolved by a single person as well.
See https://manifold.markets/jack/will-this-resolution-council-propos for an example of something like this mechanism in action with a lot more details written out. See https://manifold.markets/jack/poll-should-it-be-possible-to-dispu for my previous commentary on why I think this type of resolution mechanism is a good idea.
Also, this has existed in very limited forms before, e.g. https://manifold.markets/VersusBot?tab=markets. Does that count, or is it only if you can make a general-purpose market
?
@jack yes, the latter- general purpose markets. Perhaps with ability to choose market type and everything. Charge double the normal fees for making the market anonymized
@jack i assume the house will have to handle that, so they shouldn't accept subjective markets, especially as it'll allow people to post hateful/discriminative markets. Maybe accept submissions and charge users only if manifold markets official account decides to post it
@firstuserhere the @Manifold account already has trouble resolving questions in a timely fashion. I don't think they would want to take on this additional workload, even if they charged for it (whatever they charge would just serve to reduce load, it wouldn't be nearly enough to compensate for the admins' time)
@jack hmm. Fair. I didn't mean the manifold markets account, but any such account managed by someone on staff. Your proposal in the discord thread for resolving such questions is better
