2022 was chosen as a threshold because a lot happened in the open source AI space in 2022, along with the release of ChatGPT towards the end of the year - a product, which while wildly successful, has since been criticized a lot by Yann LeCun

I don’t like his current childish attitude regarding OpenAI’s Sora model and my respect for him went down.

I respectfully disagree with most of his opinions 🙂

I disagree with the factual accuracy of them but I respect them in the sense that they lead to outcomes with higher utility.
