Resolves to 'YES' if Claudia Sheinbaum publicly advocates for Geoengineering before the end of her term on December 1, 2030
'publicly advocate' means she will mention Geoengineering in a positive way, either in a speech or policy proposal, or in any other way that is intended to be heard by the general public
Update 2024-18-12 (PST): Solar Geoengineering specifically refers to suspending particles in the upper atmosphere to prevent sunlight from reaching the earth, similar to a simulated volcano aftermath. Other forms of land modification like terracing, earthworks, or river redirection do not qualify. (AI summary of creator comment)
Market asks a question that will take a judgement call to resolve, but the creator hasn't declared they won't bet in it. And oh, look, the first bet is by the creator. But does he have a 5-star rating at least? No?
Hard pass. Interesting question, though!
@Yoae it means I thought it was an interesting market, but I chose not to bet for the stated reasons.
@Yoae yeah. "Publicly advocate" is a quite broad phrase that requires interpretation. As the person doing that interpretation, betting in your own market is a red flag. When combined with less-than-perfect reviews of your previous market resolutions, it becomes a hard pass.
I think I was pretty clear about my reasoning in the first post. I don't know why you're prompting me to restate my objections.
@VitorBosshard solar Geoengineering involves suspending particles in the upper atmosphere to prevent sunlight from reaching the earth. Think of it like a simulated volcano aftermath.
