Caltrans plans to fully close the Vincent Thomas Bridge (SR-47, San Pedro ↔ Terminal Island) starting Nov 1, 2026 for the $752.8M deck replacement project. The official target is reopening in March 2028, and Caltrans has said it expects the bridge to reopen before the 2028 Olympic Games.

This market asks whether Caltrans meets that Olympics deadline, even if it misses the March target.

Resolves YES if, before 12:00 AM PT on July 14, 2028 (the start of the Opening Ceremony day), SR-47 across the bridge is open to general public traffic in BOTH directions (at least one lane each way), as an ongoing reopening.

Resolves NO otherwise. Clarifications:

- One direction open only = not reopened

- A temporary opening for the Games only (e.g., opened for the Olympics, then closed again to finish work) counts as NO

- A ceremony or one-off opening doesn't count

- Routine overnight lane closures after reopening don't undo a YES

- If the full closure starts later than Nov 1, 2026, the July 14, 2028 deadline still applies

- If the Opening Ceremony date changes, the deadline stays July 14, 2028

Resolves N/A if the full closure never begins or the project is cancelled.
