For the purposes of this question, the Wikipedia "List of countries that have gained independence from the United Kingdom" will be used to determine which countries count as "former British colonies". Based on this list, I consider the following potential opponents to be former colonies: Nigeria, Jamaica, Australia, South Africa, and the United States. I do not consider China (Hong Kong) to be a former British colony.
