Define, “based”? Like set in a land called “Brazil”?

@mattyb based in the sense that every Pokémon game is based in a real world region, Unova - New York, Kalos - France, Galar - UK, so this one would be based in Brazil

@mattyb Like, the fictional region that [any given set of Pokémon games] takes place in, is usually "based ON" (or "based OFF OF") a region of the real world.

For example, the first four generations of Pokémon games took place in regions based off of parts of Japan, but since then we've had regions based on New York City, France, Hawaii, the UK, and Spain(+Portugal).
