Resolves YES if, before January 1st 2031, a mainline Pokémon game is released that effectively brings back the “National Dex” in the sense used in gens 1–7:
The game’s data must include every previously released Pokémon species (at least one fully functional form of each species), up to that generation’s roster at the time of release.
They do not all need to be obtainable in normal gameplay (they may be transfer-only, event-only, etc.).
It’s enough that all required data for them to function exists in the game (models/sprites, animations, stats, moves, abilities, etc.), so that they can be used in battles if made available.
A literal “National Dex” UI entry or Pokédex number list is not required.
What does NOT count:
Spin-offs, mobile-only titles, remakes that still omit some species’ data, or games where some earlier species simply don’t exist in the code at all.
Future patches after 2030 that finally add “the last missing” Pokémon do not make this YES unless the final “all Pokémon exist in the code” state is reached before 2031-01-01.
I will resolve based on official releases, credible datamines, and community consensus. If it’s still unclear by 2031-01-01, I’ll wait for clarification but aim to resolve according to the spirit of “all past Pokémon are at least coded into a mainline game again.”
