NO

A GOP debate will be held on September 27, 2023.

This market resolves to YES if the first question asked by the moderators during the debate references the impending Federal government shutdown. The moderators must expect the candidate to whom the question is directed to respond with an opinion related to the shutdown, an issue related to it, or a person involved in it.

It will resolve to N/A is the debate is cancelled, and to NO otherwise.

During the August 27, 2023 debate, the moderators discussed many topics for over three minutes without actually asking a question. If that happens again, whatever is discussed in their monologue is irrelevant; only the expectation of a response related to the government shutdown is important.

Whether the candidate actually answers the question that was asked is not relevant to the market's resolution.
