Description:
This market resolves based on the cumulative number of Orion spacecraft missions that have launched to space (uncrewed or crewed) by December 31, 2028, 11:59pm ET.
Confirmed flights so far:
Artemis I (uncrewed, Nov 2022)
Artemis II (crewed lunar flyby, April 2026)
Planned/announced flights:
Artemis III (2027) — test docking with commercial lunar landers in low Earth orbit
Artemis IV (2028) — first crewed lunar South Pole landing
Resolution criteria:
Counts only actual launches of the Orion spacecraft to space (suborbital abort tests like Ascent Abort-2 or pad aborts do NOT count).
A mission counts once Orion has physically launched, regardless of mission outcome (success/failure/abort after launch).
Resolves based on official NASA mission status.
