Resolving NO — while OpenAI launched a search feature in ChatGPT (sometimes referred to as “SearchGPT”), it still relies on Bing under the hood. It’s not a fully independent web search engine that replaces Google or Bing. According to OpenAI’s Help Center:

“We may share search queries with third-party providers like Bing.”
