Whatever skills he had in one era and context are hardly guaranteed to apply to a modern company. Without that upside, what overcomes the risk for any board which would consider hiring him? Only probable situation I could imagine is starting a new one, but he’d need to get many millions from investors to have any shot. If not by now (during easy money) when would he?

He’s 69, and even a well funded startup would take five years at least. Why would he sign up for that if he hasn’t tried already?
