Will the Supreme Court decide 9-0 that Trump is eligible to run for President?

John Castro is suing Trump on the accusation that he is ineligible to run for President.

If the Justices do not make a determination on this question, either by dismissing the case, or decide the case for another reason (e.g. standing) this will resolve N/A. I am not a lawyer, but I will resolve to what appears to be the general consensus of experts and reliable media sources.

I would like to bet in this market, so in the event of resolution controversy I will consult whatever unbiased trustworthy-ish users I can contact and resolve to their majority opinion, rather than my own.

I think this case was already dismissed. If it’s the case in Florida.

@BTE Yeah for lack of standing I believe. Better move is to sue the Secretary of State.

@BTE I saw this out today:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/supreme-court-to-decide-whether-to-kick-trump-off-ballot/ar-AA1ggNVn

"The court distributed John Castro v. Donald Trump to the justices for conference on Wednesday ahead of the upcoming term, which will begin on October 2. Conference is to take place on September 26 and the case is expected to be decided on or before October 9."

@AdamTreat Frankly, I'll be shocked if they grant cert to this case

predictedYES

@AdamTreat Well, I'll resolve N/A in that case . I suppose the wording in that article made me think it was a much more serious case which was already in front of the Court.

@SemioticRivalry For sure the wording is quite ambiguous. N/A would be fair, but you could also wait for October 9th if you like and see if they grant cert. If they do, then this market will explode, but again I'm going to be shocked if they do.

Question about resolution: this is about the final disposition of the case in front of the Supreme Court if they decide to grant cert and actually hear the case, no? I don't think the case will be decided by October 9th... I think that plaintiff is saying he expects them to decide whether or not to grant cert by October 9th, yes?

@AdamTreat Newsweek says this in an article today... I can't tell if this fits better with your perspective or with mine. I'll edit the description to clarify though

@BTE may be of interest. I have a yes limit order at 16%.
