Resolves as YES if there is a Dyson Sphere around the Sun on January 1st 2080, capable of harnessing at least 1% of its power output. This artificial megastructure must at least be distributed in a ring around the Sun (i.e. it cannot be focused as a single or small (<50) finite number of large structures occupying 1% of the available angles), although it does not necessarily need to include other orbits (e.g. polar). If it occupies a ring around the sun, then both a swarm or a single monolithic structure qualify in the context of this question.

1% is a lot. Why stop at 2080? Chatgpt'd some variables and then a summary of 1% coverage Dyson Swarm and it said next century or beyond.

bought αΉ€200 NO from 16% to 9%

@jks Talk it through with chatgpt if you want the actual points but it seemed confident and it isn't confident about anything anymore, it presents both sides of the argument wherever there is an argument to be made.

It could be biased to agree with whatever you ask it though with the right context building before the ultimate summary question, which is what happened with my chat.

@VAPOR I mean, I agree that "1%" is a lot

@jks yeah I realised later I did have a point just a very small one, about a very big thing
