@traders

I would like to welcome @ttoe to Masters League on this most hallowed April 1st.

With a truly unbelievable profit history coupled with a stellar portfolio of markets to their name, it's no wonder they made it to Masters!

@ttoe seemed to get to Masters by consistently making markets like /ttoe/free-lottery-supernova ‌ and /ttoe/free-lottery-black-hole-evaporation . We should all strive to get into Masters. @ttoe is an inspiration for us all!

@Quroe I feel that it is unfair to use coin flip markets and lottery markets to get into any league. It doesn't really make sense that you can just make non-predictive, unranked markets and still enter your Masters League without any trouble, while having almost no profit at all. After all, these markets don't add any predictive value to the site. Although, to be fair, the daily note maps were at least somewhat useful.

@Quroe not everyone is born with a chuckle bone

@100Anonymous and the day note market seemed to add around 135 mana, and there was a 42 mana profit, so as a result I don't think it is fair for them to promote to masters as most of them are lottery markets which are not of predictive value

One noteworthy thing is that it is not unusual to see the Masters league table with multiple players in the red for the month. Which means that at a minimum Masters aren't consistent.

I voted no because I was in masters league

(actually I'm a fun market creator ig but that's not why I was in masters)

I'll just note that the markets wouldn't work if there were only good traders. At the very least requires greater fools.

Would've been interesting to have 4 answers, with the second "axis" being whether the answerer has been in masters before (but I suppose someone could figure that out afterwards using the API!)

@retr0id why use an API? Just check for mastermind achievement.

@100Anonymous that's a lot of manual clicking for something that could be an llm prompt otherwise
