This market predicts whether the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will continue to release GDP and CPI data despite the ongoing US government shutdown.

The current government shutdown has raised concerns about the availability of economic data. As noted in recent reports, "If the government shuts down, Friday's nonfarm payroll report may not be released" and "Looming U.S. government shutdown could halt USDA data releases including Oct WASDE, heightening market uncertainty."

Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to YES if both of the following occur despite the government shutdown continuing through October 15th:

  1. The BLS releases the September 2025 CPI data (typically released in mid-October)

  2. The BEA continues to update its GDP-related releases and estimates

It resolves to NO if either agency fails to release this data while the shutdown is ongoing. If the shutdown ends before October 15th, this market resolves to N/A. Official sources for resolution will be the BEA (https://www.bea.gov) and BLS (https://www.bls.gov) websites.
