Will the centre-right coalition of National, ACT, and New Zealand First win a majority of seats (61+) in the 2026 New Zealand general election?
Context: The 2026 election must be held by December 19, 2026. Recent polling shows an extremely tight race, with some polls predicting a hung parliament. The current National-ACT-NZ First coalition government holds 61 seats, while the Labour-Greens-Te Pāti Māori opposition holds 59 seats.
Resolution: This market resolves YES if the National-led coalition wins 61 or more seats in the House of Representatives. Resolves NO if the Labour-led opposition or any other configuration wins the majority. Uses official Electoral Commission results: https://elections.nz/
