Background
We’ve recently had two high profile killings that I know of for the Palestinian cause. The first was Aaron Bushnell, who self-immolated, and the second was Elias Rodriguez, who assassinated two Israeli embassy staffers. Both released manifestos and both shouted their support of Palestine at the scene of their actions.
Criteria
The first criteria is that a person (the killer) must intentionally kill a person in the USA. This includes themselves. Suicide will count.
The second criteria is that the killing must be clearly inferred to be for the purpose of supporting the Palestinian cause. I won’t try to capture every edge case for this. But a manifesto, declaration, or symbol will be sufficient.
Neo-Nazi or antisemitic motivations will not be sufficient; the Tree of Life shooting would not qualify. Islamist killings will also not necessarily be sufficient, absent explicit reference to Palestine.
