Will flour still be sold in paper (or other) bags that leak until 2030?

I understand there's a good reason (breathing, oxidation) for this. Still incredible that you can hardly purchase a bag of flour that doesn't leak in 2023.

Will humanity solve this important problem by 2030? Help me find out!

I will resolve (or delegate resolution) based on a survey of different (probably at least three) store brands of flour (wheat) in the U.S. (e.g. Publix, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Walmart, depending on where I am located then).

If on January 1, 2030 1/2 or more of those brands are still sold in leaky paper bags, resolves YES.

If then or earlier I notice that less than 1/2 of brands are sold in leaky paper bags, resolves NO. Leakproof paper, plastic, boxes, cans, etc. could all resolve NO.

How would leaky plastic bags resolve ?

@Mich YES. The leak is the main issue.

lolol

What if they keep the paper bag, but figure out some way to seal it better and they stop leaking?

@EvanDaniel I will clarify. Leakproof paper bags resolve NO.

OK so basically we’re getting AGI before leakproof flour bags.

@NicoDelon lol. Yes! Similarly I think the us will go through huge budget crises before ever selling even the slightest bit of federal land.
