For as long as I can remember, I've been blessed with the ability to instantly stop a bout of hiccups by just willing it so. This is not to be confused with an immunity to consecutive hiccups: if I make no effort to stop the hiccups, they persist for a normal duration. My method (which I can only describe as "furrowing my brow and tensing my throat") has never failed me, but I have given the advice to countless other people and no one has ever reported to me that they have found success with the method.

Resolves YES if, before 2040, I experience a bout of hiccups that I cannot voluntarily stop (more than five hiccups after making a concerted effort to stop, let's say).

Resolves NO otherwise.
