All five of these bills have passed the California State Legislature, and have been sent to Newsom to sign. This market resolves NO if he vetoes any of them. It resolves YES if he signs all five, or allows them to pass without a signature or veto.

SB 418 (Menjivar) – Ensure Equal Access to Care for All

• Prohibits health plans from excluding participation based on certain protected classes; requires health plans to cover and pharmacists to dispense up to a 12-month supply of hormone replacement therapy when medically necessary.

AB 82 (Ward) – Health Data Privacy and Safety

• Strengthens confidentiality safeguards in the exchange of healthcare information for transgender people.

SB 59 (Wiener) – Transgender Privacy Act

• Requires courts to automatically seal records related to name and gender marker changes.

SB 497 (Wiener) – Transgender State of Refuge

• Requires law enforcement to obtain a warrant before searching the state's prescription drug database, establishing criminal penalties for improper access.

AB 1084 (Zbur) – The Transgender Records Act

• Streamlines the process to obtain court orders for name and gender marker changes, requiring petitions be granted within 6 weeks.

(I think the last day Newsom can veto any of these is Oct. 12th. If I'm wrong, resolution date will be extended)
