Resolution criteria

The market resolves YES if Phoebe Bridgers releases a new solo studio album by December 31, 2026. The album must be officially released through a major or independent label and be available on major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and/or physical formats. A full-length album is defined as a minimum of 8 original tracks. EPs, compilations, features on other artists' projects, or Boygenius releases do not count toward resolution.

Background

Bridgers released her debut solo album Stranger in the Alps in 2017, followed by Punisher in 2020. It's been five years since we last heard Phoebe Bridgers in a solo capacity. In early 2024, Boygenius announced they were "going away for the foreseeable future" to focus on their solo careers. Bridgers told Vanity Fair: "I made the decision three years ago to take a massive step back. I think we all want a little break", and stated "I can't function if I do anything in 2024 that is public". Lucy Dacus has announced a new album, Forever Is A Feeling, while her bandmates have also pursued solo projects, leaving fans awaiting Bridgers' next solo effort.

Considerations

No official album announcement or release date has been confirmed as of January 2026. While speculation exists about a potential 2026 release, there is no concrete evidence of an album in development. Traders should note that Bridgers has been notably absent from public life since 2024 and has not provided any timeline for new solo material.
