@JCE I have no idea but this is ridiculous. I'm the largest shareholder of No on Pogacar but I....think he will probably win.
@Eliza nobody is even close to his level and he will be well rested, so I'm just giving it 15% that he crashes or gets sick
@egroj It seems like the best strategy for him would be to get a strong lead as early as possible on this course and then just defend. Less exciting for viewers but if he wants to win and he can get an early lead....
@Eliza agree, stage 2 (if not stage 1) he will likely be leading, then the rest of the teams give up and fight for second place, so UAE rests in the majority of stages and he only needs to go hard on the ITTs. Hopefully, he doesn't try to go for too many stage wins so that he can save energies for the TdF
@JCE It seems like a reasonable plan to back Cian's chances for GC, at least to start, while also leaving options open for other non-GC attacks, given the overwhelming odds Pogacar seems to have right now.
@Eliza blasphemy, they didn't say he'll miss the Giro, just the greatest race on earth ๐ https://twitter.com/vismaleaseabike/status/1773032348382081106
@Lion Apparently Wout went on a podcast and said he will only go for stage wins and not chase a top 5 on GC....
Tobias Foss is a hot take from Benson, so i included him. You can see my personal opinion on that topic in my trades.
Otherwise GCN also published a list about the GC riders and their likelihood to join the Italian party, I submitted the ones who I think could play a role. Feel free to add your picks.
