Isn't this just asking for people to play arbitrage games? I buy bulk, and then sell to people who want small amounts, for less than Manifold's proposed rate? It's not *easy* to transfer M$ here, but it can certainly be arranged.

I'll buy M$500000 (retail price US$5000) for US$450. If Manifold can figure out how to make sure that money doesn't end up in the "charity donation" pile, it's probably a good deal.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, and they might try it even if it isn't a good idea. But there's a good chance it is a good idea and they try it. So I am buying this up to 50-50.
