How much utility-scale solar capacity will be installed in the US in 2025, in gigawatts? Installations for the year, not cumulative. Energy Information Administration (EIA) will be the preferred source.
EIA reports that 18.4 GW of utility-scale solar was installed in 2023, and estimates that 36 GW will be installed in 2024.

EIA has the figure of 27.2GW of solar added for 2025 in https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=67205
Looks like there needed to have been a huge boom in December as projected by EIA in February (8GW projected for December):
There's only been 21GW as of December: https://www.utilitydive.com/news/solar-gas-nuclear-ferc-infrastructure-report/807053/
https://www.evwind.es/2024/08/23/us-added-12-gw-of-solar-photovoltaic-pv-in-first-half-of-2024/100408 I know December can be bigger than other months but 2024 numbers don't look like 2025 could pass 60GW.
