I've been watching "the vow" documentary series with my gf and it's fascinating. Definitely a lot of bad stuff going on in the cult but the DA may have over-indicted and evidence may have been planted to shore up a weak case. Guilty pleas and cooperation of the inner circle have dubious evidentiary value due to the massive duress from the DA which is much greater than the amount of duress that the cult members were alleged to be under from the cult.
