Will resolve using the "Submitted by:" time in the speedrun.com UI
A sub-10-hour 100% TOTK run would require maintaining the following average times, simultaneously:
Collecting one Sage's Will every thirty minutes
Obtaining one Pony Point every fifteen minutes
Collecting one Autobuild schematic every thirteen minutes
Collecting one Paraglider fabric every twelve minutes
Completing one side adventure every ten minutes
Activating one Lightroot every five minutes
Completing one side quest every four minutes and 15 seconds
Collecting one Bubbul Gem every four minutes and six seconds
Completing one shrine every four minutes
Defeating one yet-to-be-defeated miniboss every two minutes and 13 seconds
Completing one Compendium entry every 70 seconds
Collecting one Korok seed every 36 seconds
Collecting one other miscellaneous map objective (named locations, caves, etc.) every 29 seconds
Overall, there are ~3,700 objectives necessary for 100% completion: you would need to be completing at least one objective every ten seconds on average to not fall behind.
That's assuming all three hours of cutscenes are skippable - I never tried to skip any, so I don't know if they are; it also doesn't include a few other things, like obtaining & upgrading all permanent/non-sellable armor, fully upgrading the Purah Pad, finding all Bargainer Statures, finding all Old Maps, etc...
I think this may genuinely be physically impossible.
@evergreenemily It blows my mind how much stuff there is in this game. Now I understand why it took seven years. I haven't even found some of the things you mentioned yet.
@ForrestTaylor Absolutely worth the wait. It's wild how huge this game is.
I'm 180 hours in, and I've found/completed...65% of the Sage's Wills, about 75% of the Pony Points (before max reward), about half of the schematics, like 30-40% of the Paraglider fabrics, about 75% of the side adventures, all of the Lightroots, like 25-30% of the side quests, about half of the Bubbul Gems, all of the shrines, like 25% of the minibosses, the full compendium (mostly because you can buy pictures), and roughly a quarter of the Korok seeds. I might put more time into TOTK than I did into both of my BOTW files combined (~300 hours) and not even break 90%.
@evergreenemily Yeah, this was a poor over-under, especially once the details of the game were known
@evergreenemily Update: I dunno how many there are, but I've been finding several all over the tutorial island. I don't think it's physically possible to 100% this game in less than 15-20 hours.
