Korok seeds are back, the map is significantly larger, and there's more story. I don't think a time under 40-45 hours is likely this year.

@evergreenemily Also, to double-check: this requires the submission to be verified? Someone couldn't just post a false run with a time of 24:59?

@evergreenemily Correct. If it’s fake I wouldn’t consider it to actually be a 100% speedrun. However, I will not wait indefinitely for evidence, this will mostly be used to rule out clear hoaxes.

For reference, the current record for a 100% speedrun of BOTW is 15 hours and 27 minutes; but the fastest from 2017 was 33 hours and 40 minutes, and it remained the world record until 2019.
